ChargePoint & Electrify America
I think this was discussed on some other thread but I can’t find it. Why does the map for charging stations only shows ChargePoint stations? What about Electrify America and perhaps other Mercedes partners?

Are you talking about the EA app I downloaded on the phone or is it somewhere on the EQS?
On the phone EA app, it asks me for the enrollment code from the car manufacturer. I tried the code on that little card the dealer provided but it doesn’t like it.

I don’t think that’s the problem. On the EA app on the phone, I clicked on “Premium Offers” but then it asks me for the enrollment code. I tried the code on that little card provided but that doesn’t do it. So I’m stuck. Mercedes could make this SO MUCH easier by automatically including all the charging partners on the center screen map.

It appears to me that I don’t have to mess around with an authentication code. My car is already in the EA app. But that doesn’t answer the question of why Mercedes doesn’t include EA and other partners (besides ChargePoint) on the center screen. It seems stupid to me.

I assume you have the ”EV charging station” option enabled in the POI settings? You can get to it by tapping on the EQ card in the top left corner, then click on the Settings icon -> View -> POI Symbols on Map -> EV Charging Stations

They all show up on my center display map, ChargePoint, EA and whatever else it knows about including those that are not included in the two years free charging program.

Sorry. I thought you meant the card provided by the dealer. I knew about the EQ card on upper left hand corner of screen. I tried that many, many times and clicked on settings, etc. The map doesn’t show any charging stations. I guess there’s nothing wrong because when I click on charging stations it shows a list on left side of the screen including a couple EA stations. The map does show additional stations over the map not covered by the screen. So, there’s nothing wrong except that the list covers the left side of the map. I wish the list was shown separately somehow.

I need not worry.... there arent any DC chargers 120 miles around me🤣
Thats why the EQS range was essential to me! I installed a charger in my home and another at our lake house 230 miles away on lake Superior. That pretty much covers the charger desert of northern WI and MN. There are a couple 50kw in the UP so covered there too. The DC charging infrastructure in WI and MN is pathetic.. In WI there are about 4 around I90 and I 94, otherwise, its 50kw here and there. I doubt Ill use one in a while.

Did you try using Plugshare? I use the Plugshare app to locate nearby charging stations and set filters to narrow down my research. I did a little work for you to set filters, this will help you!
For ChargePoint: <!--td {border: 1px solid #cccccc;}br {mso-data-placement:same-cell;}-->https://www.plugshare.com/map/chargepoint
For Electrify America: <!--td {border: 1px solid #cccccc;}br {mso-data-placement:same-cell;}-->https://www.plugshare.com/map/electrify-america
Hope it will help you! It works for me every time.

The problem I have had with ChargePoint is that it lists chargers at companies that only want them used by employees. I have driven to two only to be nicely told I could not charge there. Why list and map private business chargers?
