What navigation are you referring to? I thought you had to order the navigation system at time of car order. If you mean map updates, aren’t they free for the first three years?

Automatic Recording is disabled in the U.S. because many States have a law prohibiting video recording in some places or any place with an explicit sign. For example, you're not allowed to record on military bases, museums, some secretive locations, or any private property that decides to disallow it. So, if your Dashcam is equipped with Auto-Recording, and you're caught recording illegally, you can say it's not my fault, it's Mercedes's fault for recording automatically. That's why MB disabled automatic recordings, forcing you to decide on your own, therefore removing any legal liability. Because the only way to start recording is by the driver pressing the START button manually, that's one of the reasons... and many more I'm not going to buy the MB dashcam even when it'll be available. I'd rather buy a decent aftermarket system.

I’m also very much confused about this navigation purchase. Is this some sort of an upgrade from the navigation which is already included on the EQS580? Why do we need to mess around with this purchase? I tried posting this on the poster who made the purchase but for some reason it would not post there. I hope that poster gives more details about it.

Customer support is playing with me as well. They had me reset my MBUX, asked me to drive around for 20 minutes after that so the car can go through the “activation”. There’s a blue check mark next to Navigation under my services on the portal but nothing new on my end has popped up. However, in my app under Manage Services > Navigation, it says “Activation in progress” under MB Navigation. Also, I am on the east coast and it’s for a 2022 GLB35.

Crazy. It seems like nobody knows what’s happening. Two different representatives gave me two different narratives and sets of instructions. And they are quite different from what the FAQ’s read.
