Spoke to customer service today. They said data will download to the car even when the car is off. Nav will then be activated and installed once you turn the car on after the files have been downloaded OTA. He also mentioned that most people aren’t even able to purchase or finish their purchase on the store currently. What a joke this launch’s been! Hoping that everything is downloading to our cars currently and taking forever because of the size of the files.

Wondering who's gonna be the first with a drained 12V battery if it's downloading while the car is off and is taking this long. What can go wrong?

I’ve called as well….my rep was honest enough to imply that all they can do is take your money at this point!
I was one of the very first to order ( right when the store went live ) so we’ll see if they activate in the order the nav was sold in!

I assume so as well…but I don’t have a good feeling about this at all…….mine has shown activation in progress for 85 hours now……I’m waiting on 2 calls from Mercedes…..one from a customer service supervisor and one from corporate……..I think I know why they are not calling back yet…….they flatly don’t know what’s wrong or how to fix it!
I think even KIA would have tried this download on some test cars to see if it would fly….this is not what we should expect from a company likeMB.

Got it!!!

I got mine this afternoon and it's fully functional. At first you may get an error message say the data is not loaded but you'll need to log in your Mercedes me account on web and activate all the remaining navigation services. Hope this helps

When did you order yours online? How long did you have to wait?

I ordered mine on Monday around 12 and was having the same issue as everyone. I did notice that my payment did not post till yesterday. Maybe it activates 24 hours after the payment gets posted on your CC?

And today, just like that, you turned the car on and there it was?
Did you get a notification on the app once the Nav got activated?

I got a notification on my Mercedes me app saying the services had been updated. I ran to my car and waited a few seconds and it was there automatically. I tried to use it and I was getting an error. I went back to my account on a computer and they checked all the boxes and then it worked.

I checked the website version of Mercedes Me and , sure enough, my VIN had NOT been verified..just called and got it verified and was told it should activate within 24 hours.

This had been a frustrating process and was getting multiple answers. I hope it rolls out to everyone soon.

I think it’s interesting and kinda sad that I talked to 5 representatives on 10 different phone calls and not one of them told me I needed to verify my VIN!
I’ve used the app for 6 months but the website didn’t recognize my VIN even though I had to input my VIN to buy the NAV!

Mercedes me website or Mercedes me connect website! Two totally different portals. One for older cars (before 2018) and one for newer ones (2019 and newer)

That’s part of what it so screwed up about this….I have a 2020 GLC350e ….of course I use the connect app….BUT I needed to verify my VIN on the Mercedes ME website!!!!

Good morning! I mentioned this to the rep the other day but since your car is 2020, you don’t have to worry about using Mercedes Me app. I was told it’s irrelevant as I was also in the same boat. My Mercedes app still says my car needs to be verified but Mercedes me connect says everything is ok.
Also, woke up to change of service agreement and Nav is working now.

I don't think that has anything to do with navigation issues. I still have that and my nav is working. I called that number while ago, and they had no clue.
Find the agreement and agree to them if you haven't done so.
