580 is a blast to drive

If you read the reviews you would think the EQS is a one horse comfort pony. Nothing could be further from the truth, its fun in the twisties! Not to say it feels "tossable" but it drives without lean, has enormous reserves of grip and changes tack as a much smaller car. Its limits are so high I couldn't get nary a slide or tire sqeal at speeds that were bordering on ludicrous and not recommended on public venues.Power on, power off, it doesnt matter. No pitch, squat, or lean, just composure under any circumstance reminds me of movies of a WW2 Meshersmidt dog fighting. Can't wait to take it to Elkhart lake for a few laps.

Agree. It is quite impressive for a car if it’s size and weight. As I told some other members of this board - it drives more like a BMW 7 series than an S-Class.

Nice. We are hoping to get a delivery later this year. I'd be cautious at Road America. I don't think your brakes are going to be sufficient for more than a couple of laps. Super heavy car on pedestrian rotors. Especially on T5 (I've been there for track days but only on a motorcycle). I'd love to hear your experience there with the 580.

Yep. No racing just some hot laps. I took my E 43 a couple times, but ran it real hard. The brakes survived but needed pad replacement at 50k miles. I think the brakes on the EQS are on par with the E43. The rotors are ridiculously large front and rear. Not quite AMG level but still real good.
