AC In 100F Weather….
How is the AC cooling in the EQS this Summer compared to ICE driven compressors? For those driving in extreme hot temperatures does it work well?

It gets cool and comfortable quickly. The ventilated seats are comical and gimmicky and don't really cool that well. If you don't use the pre-condition function and you turn on the car, the air vents are loud as hell, it sounds like a copter is about to take off. I always use the pre-condition function on the mercedes me app and have had no issues. If I don't I might have to get hearing aids sooner than later.

Thanks for the reply. I am on my third SL550 and very aware the seats only pull in air from the cabin and are not AC cooled. Another Mercedes mystery….

Don't own one, but recently drove a friend's, AC blows cold like other MB's, although it does seem louder but maybe that's just because there's no engine noise and less cabin noise in general?
And yes, German ventilated seats cannot compare to the likes of the Japanese and American AC Cooled seats which are just fantastic.

The seat vents work best when I get in after walking 18 holes in this heat.....they immediately send an icy wave up and down my back (and bottom) as the AC immediately cools the cabin. But if my shirt is dry.......well....

Never played golf there but one morning at the Lost Maples Cafe heard a woman at another table discussing making chip shots over the cattle in the fairways…..😊

For the first week I had the car, regardless of what I did the blowers seemed to be deafening. I finally figured out that:
1) Auto climate control seems to be quieter in my opinion
2) Even if auto climate control is on in the front seats, if you forget to also adjust the back seats the blowers can still be very loud. Sync’ing the front and back is one (easy) way to address this problem
