EQS 580 data plan and Car Play
What are the benefits to signing up for the data plan on the EQS 580? I am assuming it has no bearing on real time traffic reporting but would allow for streaming of Apple Music and Spotify?
(Theoretically this can all be done from the phone.)
Is there any way to get the full Apple CarPlay on the main screen? Another words can we see the Waze app?

1) Ability to stream music without a phone
2) Ability to use the web browser which enables you to stream video
3) WiFi hotspot
Not sure about your CarPlay question. I do get full apple CarPlay on my 17" center screen, and I can get Waze in that too. The only limitation I see relating to Waze is that Waze does not support the multi-display feature so you don't get Waze directions in the instrument cluster or head-up display, whereas you will get Apple Maps directions in those displays.

BTW Apple Maps-Carplay integration also shows HUD and instrument cluster directions in our 2020 GLE. It's not a new thing.

I live in an area where cell signal is spottt and frequently absent, using the car rather than the phone does not make any difference.
