AMG EQS Misc. Issues

Finally took deliver of my AMG EQS on October 4th and already falling in love with it.

Ordered with the 21" wheels and cannot find any info on recommended tire pressures. Manual says on inside of socket flap, however nothing there other than charging info. Also, nothing in the separate AMG supplement manual! Anyone have some data?

Do not like the volume controls, all requiring a slide of your finger and not easy to change volume with small adjustments. Level-2 autonomous Distronic driving a pleasure...

Tire pressures - look at driver's side door pillar, on the right facing inward.

The pressures posted on the drivers side B pillar are always the MAXIMUM pressure for the installed tires and far higher than recommended. Pressures for gas powered vehicles are on the inside of the gas filler flap and never as great as posted on the label you refer to.

Interesting.

But why not be helpful and either provide the right pressures or say where to find them?

I just drive to the express lane of my dealership and they take care of the tire pressure for me.

Easy for you to do. I’m 70 miles from my dealership! 👍😊

For EV tires, generally the more they are inflated safely, the better mileage you get. The Tesla chat boards all recommend keeping their tires at 41 PSI (cold tire inflation pressure). I have 21 inch Goodyear F1 Asymmetric 5's, and the max pressure recommended on the sidewall is 50 PSI. My recommended cold tire imflation pressure on the door sill of my car is 41 front, 48 rear. I'm personally using 41/44PSI front/rear, and it is working very well. I'm getting as high as 4.5 mpkWh in city driving. However, opinions about this are like opinions about oil change intervals on an ICE vehicle.....YMMV.

My 450+ Mercedesmeconnect specifically states "Refer to the charging flap or ...the driver's B pillar."

The door pillar has the recommended pressures on my car, not the maximum pressures. The maximum pressures are located on the sidewall of each tire, admittedly in fine print. And, these are always stated as cold tire inflation pressure, so the pressures are always higher when on a trip and the tires are heated up. Don't be afraid of the MB recommendations on the dor sill.
