MBUX Rear Seat Entertainment System - Can you turn it off? (Asking for a Dad)

Looking at the EQS SUVs in stock and one of the features I really do not want is the MBUX Rear Seat Entertainment System as I have younger kids and just feel it's going to be problematic having that system in the back. (it's easier to control content and experience using their iPads vs. in car system).
The exact spec I want is in stock but it does have the MBUX Rear Seat Entertainment System as it's a Pinnacle spec.
Any owners that have this system is there a way to completely disable it so passengers can not use it during a trip?

Ask on the W223 board. They may have more experience with it.
Personally I am not worried because the system has no content. If you don't sign up for the data plan, nobody can stream anything. You can control content by plugging an iPad or iPhone into the HDMI port and streaming video from that to the rear screens.
