Future pricing for MBUX services

The costs to renew our MBUX features are now displayed in the Mercedes Me Connect store. Quick scan indicates it will be $300 per year for everything they currently have listed.

just because you can do something doesn’t mean you SHOULD do it…..

So they make you pay for live traffic. I get traffic free with google maps, Apple Maps and waze, so I’m not sure why I should pay Mercedes for this feature when I can get it with CarPlay.
You’re right. Just because you can doesn’t mean you should. I paid for services for 4 years on my S class and never utilized them once. I also am paying for Onstar services on my GMC suv for 2 years and also have not utilized them once. With a smartphone always with me I’m not seeing the need to pay for these additional services.

Tesla charges $10 per month for premium connectivity. That impacts navigation and the maps as well as internet connectivity.

yes but doesn’t that include the data plan? If so that’s a pretty good price

Premium Connectivity costs $99 per year if paid annually. This allows Auto Pilot, supercharger Access, and as noted the data plan. It is nicely priced. Of course don’t forget I had to pay for full Driving System (Autonomous Driving). We are still in the Beta Phase. I am waiting to actually participate in the Beta Program. You must achieve a high score on your driving as well as wait for an opening. Currently for new cars Tesla charges $15,000 for the opportunity to wait. That is pricey.

Tesla Premium Connectivity ($99 annual fee) allows for Navigation, Live Traffic Visualization, Satellite-View Maps, Video Streaming, Music Streaming, and Internet Browser
I have owned a Tesla (which I am trading in for a EQS SUV 580) since 2017. Back then it was included free, so I've never paid for it.

Hello, I recently purchased a 2020 Tesla Model X Long Range Plus with only 250 miles on the odometer. Thus far the car has been relatively problem free. There are things I really like such as the Dog setting for when you keep your dog in the car and lock it up. I really like the supercharger infrastructure. They improved the air suspension on the car from the earlier model. The car still suffers from the front end suspension setup. While I have not yet experienced an issue like shutter at acceleration, I am bothered that it is probably just a future headache.

The upgraded stereo is nice. I got the 5 seat version and am happy with a deeper 7inches rear trunk area. But I am not happy in that there is very little air directed to the back area. Had we gotten the 6 or 7 seat version there was an extra air conditioning condenser and also a outlet directing air to the third row. It is not a luxurious vehicle in my mind. It is really plain. I get the vegan seat covers, but really hate them. The EQS 580 SUV really seems like the right mix of everything. I have one coming in that is loaded and priced near the cost of a new Model X. I am just concerned with what seems like a subpar stereo system even though it is said to be Dolby Atmos. I have tried listening and have not been impressed over what the older 2020 model X has.

The 2020 Model X is also 4g. So I am kind of torn. What to do. I think I like everything I see in the EQS. But not sure. The other negative is that with the third row you cannot get the tow hitch. That is a real bummer as we like to take our bikes. I hope it is just an issue of towing. Not sure why the third row negates the hitch. Your thoughts appreciated.

My EQS SUV 580 is on order for January 23 build date. So, other than a 20 minute test drive, it's hard to compare to my 2017 Model S 100D. I believe that the only major thing that I will miss is the full-time rear camera. I am a little peeved that the EQS SUV will only charge up to 40amps. I have been very happy with the Tesla for the last 5.5 years. But I wanted a more luxurious experience.
