EQS locater lights

Had my AMG EQS parked Friday night at a wedding where the parking lot had no lighting and difficult to find mine after many others parked after I arrived. Clicked unlock but still had no clue where my car was! Every other MB I've owned have tail lights and front parking lights turn on making it easy to locate, but nothing on the EQS. Finally found it, wandering around in the dark, only seeing the extended door handles that are barely visible until almost at the car.

Cannot find anything in Settings to change this. Am I missing something?

Locator lights usually can be switched off. Even when switched off, you can find your car with the help of the Mercedes Me application. You can also activate car lights from Mercedes Me!

I always set a GPS waypoint in my phone when I park my car. It makes it easy to find the car in the chaos when an evernt lets out.

So one way to locate one's car is to press the panic button on the fob. Perhaps not the most polite way at night near where other people might sleep, but I've observed the sales people at dealerships locating cars in their lots this way. The Mercedes me connect app also has the vehicle search function to pinpoint the location of the car along with the ability to flash the lights or honk the horn as well as giving you directions by foot to the car, so you definitely chose the most inefficient way to locate your car. However, to your actual question, the EQS like pretty much all other MBs most certainly have locator lights. A quick search of the online owner's manually would have pointed you to page 154.

And for future reference, the vehicle search in the app:

Once again, all very interesting and informative.

Since I have never before used or read or heard the term, “locator lights,” [manual’s spelling] I’m grateful for this new bit of knowledge!
