Is there a soft reset or reboot procedure for the 23 EQS 580 Sedan?

I read somewhere in this, or the SUV forum, that holding the start button for 30 seconds or so will reboot.

My EQS SUV is still on order, so I can't try it.

Yes, there was a post in the SUV forum asking about this. You have to hold the power button down (not for 30 seconds though, I think it was only like 5-10 seconds for mine). And by power button I mean that little I/O button on the center console (not the home button on the hyperscreen, and not the on/off button for the whole car). I believe it's next to the volume rocker on the center console.

Home Button>Settings> System> scroll down to reset I used this months ago when the car went into "Turtle mode" You will lose all your personal settings but they can be entered again.

Just save your settings to your profile and you never have to re-enter them again. Setting individual profiles works well when there are multiple drivers. Unfortunately profiles are not linked to a specific key like BMW does. One must select a profile to use.

"Just walk away from the car for about five minutes, then walk back and car should have reset itself," is what the emergency roadside assistance person told me to do when my car had an error message stating that the high voltage battery had been discharged and that the vehicle was inoperable. This occurred after using a random orbital polisher to apply some wax to the car. Apparently I buffed over a sensor and the car thought it was in a collision and discharged the HV battery, or so the messages on my MercedesMe app told me. In fact, the battery was at 70% as indicated by the instrument cluster.

So I contacted the folks at roadside assistance and that's when he told me, "you're going to think I'm making this up, but here's what you do to fix your problem...."

And he was right. After five minutes away from the car, everything was back to normal. He stated that the car runs a diagnostic program everytime it is shut down and this will fix any gremlins that might have occurred. Good to know for future reference. Just walk away out of range of the key fob (about 20 feet) and the car will diagnose and fix itself. No soft or hard reset required.
