Some of these threads are concerning
My EQS580 is on the water along with every option that was available. After reading some of these treads, I am wondering if all those systems are going to create or add to the problems.
I had a 2020 Taycan and went through many tech problems. Time after time, something did not work, while others had little to no problems. It was not a fun experience, and I almost never drove my car for any extended period of time. I finally worked out a 2021 with Porsche which had very little issues, and a much better experience to truly enjoy the car.
I am really not looking forward to a car with lots of tech issues. I was hoping that the 2023 model year would be past that.
Are these problems with the earlier builds, or are there issues with the new cars as well.
Car lands on January 3rd in Brunswick. Not sure if I am still that excited.

IMHO, with all the options you have bought, you have signed up for is likely to be a huge number of problems.
My opinion is based on my sense that the more options that are on an EQS, the more problems that are reported here.
Contrarily, I bought my 450, delivered a year ago, with only one automobile function option, the high capacity air filter. Furthermore, I only used Cruise/Distance Control among the stock features that came with my car.

I have been following the introduction of many EV’s in the past 4-5 years and from all my reading I see a lot less problems with the EQS line, physical build quality and software, than any of the other brands now on the market. Yes, they all have some glitches and some are outright nightmares but I finally chose the EQS 580 SUV and am very pleased. I dropped deposits on both the Taycan and a Lucid Grand Touring after reading the many, many problems owners have encountered.

Nice to hear.
I wasn’t in the market for an 🚙 SUV, but love my ‘22 450+‼️

My family has 2 EQS; one bought in July and the other in August. The first car has had only one problem: socket flap sensor needing adjustment. It is a one hour visit to MB dealer. The second car had 2 problems: the socket flap issue and not connecting to the Internet. The internet problem was corrected by updating the infotainment system's software. That car spent a day at the dealer for both problems.
I had a 22 Taycan which I dearly loved. I had to sell it because of a major back injury which did not allow me to fold myself into it very well. But is had more problems than the EQS's even though it was in its third model year.
I have a close friend who has an EQS; she has had no problems at all. So, I think you will end up with a reliable car.

How's the 7 series? Are you experiencing any problems with it? Honestly, I think it's the luck of the draw with most new cars. I have a first-year Rivian R1T and have had no problems since it was delivered in October. If you do take delivery of the EQS 580, please post some photos when you get it. I think that your build will be beautiful.

I understand, but first hand experience of good fortune is often overshadowed by a few reports of bad experiences, and I would be careful when writing discouraging words without it. I suspect the majority of owners are blissfully happy, and don't know our forum exists. But, then, I am an eternal optimist.

Given the relatively tiny number of U S EQS owners, of course.
But of those who copy and disseminate posts, photos, quotes, etc, it might be surprising how quickly and widely things can spread.

Maybe I should re-phrase. Taking all Mercedes sold in the U.S. only a tiny fraction of the owners will ever visit or post on these forums. Look at the total MB’s of any class sold vs the number of members registered to these sites for the percentage involved. I personally know over 20 folks who have owned MB’s for years who have never shown any interest in knowing any more than where their local MB dealership is located. In other words I do not believe posts here about problems represent the same number out in the real world. People post about problems all the time but rarely post about how much they like a marque.
