Losing range
On a 134 mile trip, my EQS used 201 miles of range, 67 miles of range beyond the 134 miles actually driven – an excess of 50%! This is consistent with other trips in the EQS. What I have noticed when I keep an eye on the Wh/mi monitor on the driver’s screen is that the car, when first starting, registers 1999 Wh/mi, the drops slowly over the first few miles down to between approximately 750 Wh/mi and 850 Wh/mi. Over the next 10-20 miles, it drops to around 550 Wh/mi. On this trip, it eventually settled at around 450 Wh/mi, and by the time I was 100 or so miles into the trip, it was running at about 360 Wh/mi. If there’s a story here, it’s that the car is gobbling up battery at a very, very high rate at the start and finally finds the right groove after 90 minutes or so. Thoughts?

If we're talking about highway driving in cold weather, this makes sense. At the start of the trip, you're heating the car and you're getting to the highway, eventually needing to accelerate to highway speeds. Those activities will average out to a high rate. Over time, at consistent speed, that will average down because need for heating will be reduced and the only power needed will be to overcome wind resistance at speed.
