FLAT TIRE, FLATBEAD TOWING

So I come out of the office, get in the car and start, "TIRE FLAT DO NOT DRIVE". I get out to look at the right rear tire and it is really flat with a steel wedge of metal in the middle of the tire. I knew I had the tire fitment kit in the trunk. I followed the instructions and hooked up the foam bottle and mini 12 volt compressor to the passenger seat footwell socket. No help since the gash was too deep.
I have State Farm insurance and called them first. While waiting, I called MB to see what I needed for the tow. They initially stated I needed wheel dollies. The manual states you need to lift the car for towing or flatbed tow. While waiting, I attempted the lift to no avail.
The first flatbed showed up with no wheel dollies and I sent him off.
After several "bubbas" showing up the next day, I called MB and was sent to the "Maybach/EQS" help desk.

Put this number in your phone contacts. MB Premier 855 502 - 3851

They were professional and knew the car and how to tow it as they do it everyday. A flatbed showed up a few hours later and pulled the car onto the flatbed with no damage and dropped it off at the dealer with no damage.

The takeaway on all this is call the MB number first. They also offered UBER with a link if you needed a way back home for no charge on the tow or UBER. Do NOT worry about the lift function in the manual as it is not available to US cars and trust the response of the MB Premier line as they have real knowledge of the daily towing operation.
