charging error issue

Any advice as to why my 2023 EQS 450 is now starting to experience a 'charging error' soon after (15 min +/-) after plugging into my NEMA 14-50? I have only 4500 miles and never had this until the last few days. I have to remove the plug and re-plug a few times until it resumes, but it seems to be getting worse.
Thanks for your help

Try unplugging and plugging the charger itself. Also try charging somewhere else. If you can level2 charge elswhere without problems, the problem is the charger, not the car. If you get the same issue, its a dealer issue. You would be surprised how many chargers develop problems due to bad installation. The fact that the problem pops up after initially charging normally makes me think that its an issue that crops up as the connection starts heating up. If you rule out the vehicle take a look inside the the plug box, don't be surprised to find charred or melted components. BTW this is a serious problem that needs immediate attention.

If you don't have a commercial grade NEMA 14-50 (Hubbell HBL9450a), you should consider it. The standard ones (Leviton for example) are actually flimsy compared to the commercial grade ones. It can be a safety issue, with how the standard ones can over heat.

Try charging at the EA station and if there no issue than you've narrow it down to your home charger.

Thanks all, it was a charging cord issue. Tried my Tesla cord with a J1772 adaptor and it is fine.
