Who knows! It might take Tesla many months or years to retrofit their current charging stations so I assume most will have to download the Tesla app and use it in the mean time.

Well, it is an issue for us since the best way to go on a road trip is to use the nav to find the best route and places to charge. Including the supercharger network in the algorithm will open up a myriad of better routes. I know it will take a while, but it would be nice to know that the nav updates will include tesla chargers going forward.

Hopefully someone will eventually have a answer. One thing I have learned since I bought my 580 SUV is that the members here are months ahead of my two closest MB dealerships. They are literally clueless when it comes to me asking them EQS questions

I don't know how long it takes them to add new chargers to their database, but the good news is that it doesn't require an update on the vehicle. The way MB has implemented the route optimization is that MBUX first calculates the basic route, then sends it to the cloud where it gets optimized and charging stops are being added, then the optimized route is sent back to the car. So as soon as they add the chargers to their database they will get used for the route optimization. Question is if they gonna add filters that let you exclude them in case you don't have a Tesla account. I would expect them to added such a filter to the existing filters so you can control your charger preference.

I think once MB builds out it own changing service stations as announced it will make it easier for us. I don't expect to see any Tesla stations anytime in the near future show up on my nav unit.

New stations show up very quickly. A new stations was installed near me and less than a month(don't remember the exact time) from completion it was on the map.
