Here’s an excerpt from the Des Moines Register concerning additional fast chargers on Interstates. This is specifically for Iowa but the same process will take place in other states due to the Infrastructure Bill.
From DSM Register: Iowa investing more than $50 million in EV charging stations
More charging stations are on the way, especially along Iowa's interstate highway corridors. In October, the state received $51.4 million in federal funding from the 2021 federal Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, more commonly known as the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, as part of the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Formula Program, or NEVI for short. Under its auspices, Iowa promises to place four DC Fast chargers every 50 miles on Interstates 29, 80, 35 and 380.

About the chargers....more is always better, but I can't believe how well we are already covered. There's almost nowhere in Iowa I can't go and not find Mid American chargers, Chargepoint Level 3, or EA. But sure, wouldn't hurt to put up a few more as EV adoption increases.

Wait a second...another EQS in Iowa? You live in Des Moines? Would like to touch base with you in privates messages about your service experiences if you go to MB Des Moines.
About the chargers....more is always better, but I can't believe how well we are already covered. There's almost nowhere in Iowa I can't go and not find Mid American chargers, Chargepoint Level 3, or EA. But sure, wouldn't hurt to put up a few more as EV adoption increases.

As far as service is concerned at MB, I have had a fantastic experience. They treat me very well.

Yes, I live in Des Moines. Other than the EA fast chargers in Waukee and at the outlet Mall in Williamsburg, there are no other real fast chargers in IA as far I know. I always charge the car in Waukee or at my home with the ChargePoint wall flex. I don’t think the Mid American chargers are real fast, are they? Plus they’re not free. Where do you find a ChargePoint level 3 near Des Moines? I don’t think they’re any faster than 50 KW. That simply takes too long. The EA chargers are either 150 or 350 KW.
As far as service is concerned at MB, I have had a fantastic experience. They treat me very well.
