EQS Newbie with a questions about battery, hud, etc

Hi Everyone

Finally got our 450+ a few days ago. So happy! I'll be keeping this for a long time. Our Tesla X has over 122k miles! Thank for everyone's comments good/bad about their car. Very helpful!

This car is a range monster. Coming from tesla, is 80% still the standard for normal charging, and 100% for road trips? Or is it better to keep it at 70% I don't need to charge everyday. Is it ok to leave it unplug, and charge when my battery is under 30% or as needed?

Does the app allow you to start and drive the car without the key?

for the HUD display, is there a way to remove that navigation map from the HUD on my windshield? The basic display only has the speedometer.

And lastly, the mercedes me connect is only a la carte? no annul subscription for everything. You just pick and choose what services you want?

Thanks in advance!

80% is the recommendation from MB for the car. Some charge to 90%. Most of us keep the battery between 30-80%. I don't charge every day, only about every 4-5 days. There is apparently no problem with charging every day if you want. Most of us only charge to 100% the night before a trip. You have to have the key to drive the car, doesn't work with just the app. I just renewed my annual subscription for everything I wanted (didn't want it all) through MercedesMe, had to call them to get that done the first time, but they said it should be easy each year from now on. Can't answer your HUD question, don't have one. Enjoy your fantastic EQS!

You can not customize the HUD, what you see is what you get. We charge the SUV and the EQE to 90% when we do the free charging. At home the plan is set to 80.

Of course you can change the HUD! When you are in the home area flick up on the pad. The options for the HUD content are there.
