Online music works inconsistently
In my EQS, the "online music" feature (which permits the car to stream Apple Music/Amazon/Spotify directly) works inconsistently. Sometimes it works great. Sometimes it refuses to load.
Anyone else experiencing this?

I've had the same online music issues since day one (August 2022 in USA) and I have been unable to see any rhyme/reason. Both the Apple Carplay connection versus the built in Apps all suffer from this inconsistency. On 3 Tesla's have had close to zero issues with the online streaming music apps, so this certainly feels like an MBUX issue. I know this thread is in the EQS forum, but curious if anyone reading this has experience with online music on other MB platforms?

Same -- Especially frustrating because MBUX Online Music sound quality is WAY BETTER than normal bluetooth streaming because of the bitrate. With Dolby Atmos enabled, you can play Apple Music's Spatial Audio playlists which is literally like watching a 4K HDTV vs. an old 720p TV. Sound separation and clarity is absolutely best in class to my ears at least.

CarPlay has stopped outputting Atmos since iOS 15.4 update.
I wonder if this is for everyone or if it could be hardware aware and work with cars with Atmos hardware?

I have a model year 2022 which does not support Atmos. My suspicion is that their upgrade to Dolby Atmos support for online music broke the streaming method my 2022 car uses. Trust me, I've exhausted every single option and there isn't a solution. They basically told me I'm out of lucky and refused to do anything else.

Write some letters, to president of Mercedes USA, CEO of your dealership or whoever to make some noise. That's unacceptable.

Edit: I've sent an email to the CEO of MBUSA describing the entire situation as well as how MB has responded to me so far, including case reference numbers and relevant screenshots. It didn't bounce back so hopefully someone in the executive office will respond.

Don’t hold your breath. I emailed the CEO of mbusa 3 times about an issue and never got a reply. I let them know I was a long time customer who had purchased 7 high end Mercedes over the last 12 years and didn’t even get the courtesy of a reply.

yeah that's pretty much what I expect. I'll send it to some other executives but other than that I'll probably just hold onto my car for less time than expected and refrain from buying a Mercedes again in the future.

Well, it’s kind of nice to know that I’m not alone anymore. I was told it would be available "soon" on February 7th. It would be great if your rep was correct about the two-week timeline.
