Ambient lighting
Parked my car in the garage unlocked. Ambient lighting stayed on despite the fact that I have it set to timeout after 30 seconds. Anyone else? All lighting goes out immediately after locking.

That is standard ops for these cars; there are previous threads on this. I have 2 EQS's in the family and they do the same thing. So far I see no issues wrt the 12V battery. My cars on on MBUX 3.16.x version. Not sure if the latest version fixed this or not. If anyone is on 3.29x or 3.30x, please advise.

Mine was doing that too, and also if I did any activity around the car (even nearby in the house) the car would lock and unlock, or at least the handles would retract and open as you moved around.
To stop both you can double hit the button on the remote to lock the car. The only downside is that the car will not unlock as you approach it as you then need to use the unlock button on the remote.

thanks, I didn't know that, but I do want it on, just not while in my garage as my movement triggers the handles and other electronics like the led lights when I am just working in the garage but not going to drive. the double tap on the remote solves that problem.

I have a camera in the garage. I often do leave the keys in the house. When I open the desk drawer that they are in I can see the car light up and handles extend. Also when I wash the car I need to pull it out of the garage so I have the key on me. In some cases like these, double clicking the remote button is a solution that works for me.

I keep a spare set of keys for all my vehicles hidden in the garage and the EQS keys in a Faraday Pouch so they donot interfere opening the vehicle….

I also bought a Faraday pouch on Amazon (it looks like it might be that very one) for the same reason. It worked great for about a month and then it stopped blocking the signal like whatever was used wore off. I still use it to protect the key and my pocket, but it stopped working as a shield.
