Yes and I have had multiple warnings. I was able to get by for a few weeks the first time and only waited several days the second. I think my fob doesn’t get to remain in sleep mode because it is sitting on a hook next to the keys and second set of keys for four other vehicles and my wife and children rattle it whenever they grab their keys. Guess I will either move my keys or keep replacing the battery!

You could always double press the lock button to disable the key if you know you don't need it to be sending signals but then before you get to your vehicle next time, you need to re-enable it so not ideal.

Hmmm, how come the low battery notification work for everyone else, in my experience the battery simply dies before the car even prompts the battery on the key fob is low.

I wonder at what voltage the button battery is at is when the low battery message triggers? Any clue?

Usually that's because the battery is bad in the first place. I've had coin batteries just die on me before. Not in a fob as far as I remember, but just recently in another device. The device last reported that the battery was at 75%, but then it just died.

I tried buying from different sources and different batteries, it still does it I guess I might be buying old stock all along. Not sure what else to try. Or maybe I need to spray some contact cleaner on the key fob contacts, something like that.

Do both FOB’s wear out the batteries at the same rate? Maybe something is wrong with just that one FOB.

nope they do wear at the same rate, I guess that means the key fob contacts are fine... maybe it is just my luck buying batteries from old stock again and again
