Range calculation basis
I was getting a maximum indicated range of about 365 miles after charging to 100%. After taking a trip of about 400 miles (800 miles round trip), when I charged to 100% it only gave an indicated maximum range of 320 miles! About the same happened on the return leg. Could this be a result of the system taking into account of how I was driving before charging? I did drive fast (75 to 85 MPH) for a major part of the trip! I thought the range calculation after charging is based on the "condition" of the battery system. Any explanation?

Thanks

I believe the computer uses the previous driving habits, speed, acceleration, terrain, and the current ambient temperature. In my experience speeds above 65mph and temperatures below 65F along with steep hilly driving can really change the mileage calculations.

Agree with above, I believe the range reflects previous driving habits. When I drive mostly around town at speeds of under 55 MPH, my range starts at around 450 miles on the rare occasion I start with 100% battery and is pretty consistent.
In the least efficient conditions (highway drives with cruise control set at 79 MPH but including one charging stop over a 420 mile road trip) my range at 100% charge dropped to 399 miles. I can’t complain about that but it is expected based upon my highway drive.
EQS 450+, now with 9400 miles.
