I’ve been surprised and disappointed in how little you can actually do to your car thru the app. Can’t turn it on, open or close window, or access cameras. You can do these things on multiple other brands.

The app can do 3 things; precondition the temp, lock and unlock, and find where the car is. At least this version can reliably precondition the vehicle as long as the vehicle is not sitting in a place where there is zero signal. The previous version of MBUX was pretty fussy at that too. Personally, I think that's enough.

I cannot see why one would want to "start the engine" on an EQS, preconditioning the cabin (cooling or heating) should be enough. But I thought ICE cars in the US had this option to remote start the engine? A big no-no in Europe because of emissions. Opening and closing windows appears to be another difference between Europe and NA (US?), we can open and close door locks and windows remotely via the app.
