How to stream video in your EQS
I made a little video about this device from a company named Carlinkit. The device is called the T-Box Plus. Using wired CarPlay it turns your EQS touchscreen into an Android tablet. This cost me about $190.
I installed a standard T-Mobile cellphone SIM to get unlimited streaming, but you can connect the device to your phone's or car's hotspot, too. I think it may be possible to even turn the device into a hotspot if you installed a SIM, I haven't tried that, yet.
Even though it has the Google Play Store, most of the streaming services on the store are not compatible with the device, but a quick jump to APKMirror.com on the built-in chrome browser will let you download versions which work just fine. The only service I couldn't find, so far, is Apple TV+.

Why would you post this? Would I have ever streamed Karate Kid on my EQS? Probably not. But now I have to, you have tempted my inner geek. Was this intended as some kind of incentive for using a slow charger?

Is there a way to get it to work with passenger screen. That way they can watch and listen with headphones without disturbing the driver? I know I can use the built in browser to stream but the browser takes. Away the screen real estate. There is no full screen mode.

I just tried and there's no way to send CarPlay to the passenger screen. The best you can do is use bluetooth headphones to not distract the driver with the audio while you watch the video on the center display.

Carlinkit Ambiant does not work on 2022 EQS old or new MBUX software. Both versions came up with blank screen for Carplay. Not sure if the older versions of the Carlinkit works but for sure won't work with newer process and ambient version.

Exactly what I got!
I had contacted suppport to give me their burning software and did a wipe partitions and then loaded a new image. Then when you plug it into the car, it will come up with a prompt for you to calibrate screen resolution.
This fixed the issues at hand but when you connect a iphone, you'll get the blank screen for carplay from iphone.

I never bothered to try connecting my phone to the AI Box, as I only use it when I am just sitting in my car waiting around. In that case, I can just pick up my phone if I need it.

I got an email from their support, will try that later today and update you all1. Prepare a TF/micro sd card not larger than 256GB (hereinafter referred to as TF card);
2. Change the name of the downloaded firmware to update.zip and copy it to the TF card;
3. Insert the TF card into the TF card slot of the product in the correct direction.
4. Upgrade for about 10 minutes, the model number light will flash alternately, do not power off/unplug the box in the middle;

I did not receive any errors, but I also have different firmware options.
I have the 6225 and first used rawprogram0_WIPE_PARTITIONS.xml_bak.xml
Then loaded the rawprogram01 or something.
Finally updated using the microSD with the latest image.

can't get the update.zip to flash to the unit
tried to do the firmware update, getting the Sahara failure
total waste of time with their customer service, I even showed them the youtube video posted here and they aren't helpful

I have totally struck out with this company.... you should get a few of these boxes and have them "set up" to work for the EQS and sell them on the forum. I sure as heck would rather pay for one ready to go for the car, I've spent too much time on this to be struck out
