Silence Navigation

how do you silence navigation when on a iphone call. My EQS580 Sedan keeps both audios on at the same time.

there is a mute button on the hyper screen where navigation steps are displayed on the right side of the box.
you can also make permanent change in the settings.

Can you give me more detail on using settings to make it permanent? I looked and could not find it.
