23 EQS Sedan cargo mat/net setup
I have received the corrected order with the sedan liner, which was originally sent in error as an EQS SUV liner. Based on my observations, once flattened, it will fit accurately. However, considering the price point, it is what I expected. The material is specified as rubber, but the composition and texture appear to be more like flexible hard plastic. Additionally, it is relatively lightweight for its size. It's referred to as being a premium liner, but it doesn't register to me as premium.
This is the first non-OEM liner that I have had to obtain because MB does not offer them as an accessory, which I found odd for a premium vehicle. In all my previous cars, including Lexus, Honda, Acura, Toyota, and BMW, all-weather mats were a must-have, and each one offered a more substantial and rubberized version than this liner. Additionally, they cost at least $150 or more.
For the cost of $155, which is the price of the WeatherTech, I have a suspicion that I would be disappointed. The $55 price point is more in line with the product I received. It was not my first choice, but in the absence of an OEM option, it will at least serve its purpose.
I did a quick check to see if it fits, and indeed it does! I'll need to let it flatten out more before I snap any images to show here. Stay tuned.
