For us EQS owners who have a lot of options, I suppose the Intelligent Headlight Plus or Digital light Activation (not sure which) is perhaps the most attractive option.
Has anyone figured out what is: Battery Level Drive mode (EQ Models)?
Has anyone here used any of their products?

I think Battery Level Drive Mode is only relevant for hybrid models. I found some info near the bottom of the page at this link:

https://grupoconcesur.es/en/blog/mer...lectric%20mode.

I ordered the Remote OBD Coding Dongle and enough credits for the Suspension Height Change and Default Driving Mode of Your Choice. My intention is to lower the EQS SUV by 15mm (same as Sport Mode above 75 mph) and change the default driving mode to Individual. A recent wheel alignment reported that rear camber is negative 1.5 degrees. I compared the rear camber at normal height and the raised height of +30mm and the rear camber changed from negative 1.5 to 1.2 degrees. I am hoping that lowering the suspension 15mm will not increase the rear negative camber to more than 1.8 degrees so that it stays within the factory spec. My rationale for changing the default drive mode to Individual is that it allows for the most flexibility for tweaking the individual parameters.

I tried to complete the purchase. But I am getting a message that the code is no longer valid. Which is odd because the website banner still shows the promo and says it ends 27th Nov which is today.

Let me know how i can complete the purchase with the advertised 5% discount.

It is because when you went to purchase its 28th of Nov in the UK, we are 5 Hours ahead of the east coast of US and 8 hours ahead of the west coast, so the offer is actually expired.

We have extended the offer now to the 28th so please try checking out again. But please bare in mind that this ends midnight tonight London time.

Thanks

Does the coding survive future MBUX upgrades?

Does your customization coding survive future MBUX upgrades (i.e. dealer installed)?

Here's one of the FAQs from the RJAutomotive site...

"Does a dealer service or software update wipe the changes? It is unlikely to but in the rare case it does please contact support and we can arrange the recoding. Recoding is free for life on all retrofit kits & paid non-credit coding activations (such as intelligent high beam plus). For regular credit coding recoding is free for the first 2 years, and after that a £30 charge to recode it all."

Having been used to BMW coding price, these prices are shockingly expensive for the amount of time needed for coding.
Is this pricing more of less the same for most of the other coders?

Digital Light Activation (when this software coding is added in the US) works exactly as advertised (in MB Videos) and is quite amazing. Although I understand the underlying technology using the MEMS micro mirrors, I am amazed each time it works ... flawlessly. Very cool and useful in suburbia.

Hi, I am curious if you actually did the coding via RjAutomative and if you live in US? I am also thinking about doing the coding via the company here but would love to know if anyone else tried before me

Yes and yes. It was very simple and easy and took ~15 min. You need a computer and a good internet connection, they supply the cable connection - OBD to RJ-45.
Really helps in suburbia - much better, brighter, and safer. Of course, as this is not legal in the US, I switched back to non-digital light - just wanted to see the difference.

How does the setting work? Can you independently toggle it or do you lose all other digital light options too like auto high beams.

I was also thinking about it for suburb settings since highway is mostly well-lit where I am but suburbs can be really challenging.

Everything else is exactly as before. It switches from low to high a bit quicker (Auto mode) and stays in high beam much longer. When cars approach or if you are behind a car, the critical areas are not illuminated. It really is lighting by 1.3 million individual addressable lights (MEMS mirrors) in each headlight. Amazing stuff!

No. After the coding, I asked RJ about any other worthwhile things to do and was told that red light/stop sign warning assist is a good one to do. I have not looked into that yet.

Do you think doing coding while leasing would be risky? I imagine Mercedes wouldn't care at all since an update is likely to override the coding anyway.

I can't speak for MB lease return but for my Bmw 5 leases return with coding, none of them they said anything. I dont even believe they found it. (2 of them have ecu tune and some engine mods that can't see). I do think they probably will refresh everything or they just dont care and sell to next customer (most the time: auction).

So I did digital light coding and also did the stop sign recognition. My wife's CX5 had the stop sign recognition and it does come in handy in certain cases. I also had a chance to test digital light on a night interstate drive and I really wish NHTSA approved it already so I could enable it all the time, it drastically improves safety IMO and it also makes it easy to see signs on the roads since car seems to highlight those specifically.

It is especially ironic that police cars, towing cars can use blinding lights on the side (lately the ones I have seen are so bright that I actually can't see the headlights in front of me while passing them) while this tech isn't allowed where it actually avoids light on the vehicles.

Hey @perlfather can you clarify whether all you need is a computer and a good internet connection? Going on his website it looks like he's also selling a "Remote OBD - Remote Coding Dongle" for £200.00 (https://rjautomotive.net/collections...42851492004040). I'm trying to price things out and wondering if this is required for the coding. When you say they supply the cable connection, is that dongle what they provided to you? Did you pay for it or did it come with it or something else? Looks like they may be charging 200 for it at the moment. Sorry if answer is obvious, I've never done any remote coding things before.

I paid £420. They sent me the OBD to RJ-45 cable by mail and then made the software change using my laptop (after making an appointment).
