There is a company already selling induction chargers for retrofit for some EV's. Imagine having certain roads dedicated for EV charging! No having to visit a a station of any kind ever! Now that is true driving Nirvana!

Fantastic possibilities! The future is here.
Probably will be a lot of challenges to setup access/payment/administration/operation, etc.

Battery swapping is better as you dont have to worry about degradation or warranties or changing chemistries or recycling old nasty batteries. All of those problems go away. In fact, was watching a video about a guy with a Tesla who got his battery replaced under warranty TWICE. Apparently you get a remanufactured one not a new one if your original battery goes bad anyways.

I suppose wireless charging might have a place though for older tech EVs whose engineers made the mistake of using a structural battery pack that's extremely difficult to swap.

Oh, and I just sold the NIO stock I bought last week for a nice gain too.

I'll wait until my brand new battery gets old before I'll do battery swapping. You'll have to have some industry standard battery sizes and connectors before that happens. There's too much freedom in America for that to happen quickly.

As for road electricity, RPG is a probably attainable. https://www.zmescience.com/ecology/r...%20electricity.
Maintenance needs to be low cost. We have plenty of heat and sun and waves and wind motions. If we can effective transport those energy to strategic location at a low cost low maintenance, we're gold.
