I don't Know why this craze for Black and Black.Cant see anything in the dark with black interior.i think maybe drivers don't want to keep interior clean.My rule to Dealers for ANY CAR ; I buy.No White or Black and anything but Black interior.
We were out shopping for a Bentley Continental convertible a few years ago. All the dealers had in stock were blacks and various shades of gray. Their catalog shows over 130 available colors. That includes 5 blacks (gloss, metallics, and various mattes) plus over 10 different shades of gray. That's when we went to the Ferrari dealer and bought the California. No problem finding RED over there.....

Mazda had like a whole team working on just one color, Soul Red Crystal. Saw one at Home Depot just a few hours ago and had to stop and stare at it even though was on an otherwise completely forgettable SUV.

I read a whole article on how Mazda picked just the right hue. Apparently most people perceive some blue in red even though no blue is actually in it, etc. and so on... but like the old sayin' goes: it's in the eye of the beholder:
I happen to have a fondness for that color as my Dads first Mercedes (1959 180) was that shade of red. It was over Parchment MB tex. Beautiful combination. Still love it 60 plus years later.
Just my opinion. Light colors on BMW, dark colors on MB. I am guilty. Graphite Grey with chrome on my EQS. Never all black. Black interiors are lower maintenance on stains from clothing dyes.
that red is better than Cardinal and Patagonia red?
I have an EQE AMG in cardinal red and love it. It is so refreshing and suits the car much more so than the typical colors. I saw an EQS AMG in that same color and was blown away.

EQS is one of the last MB cars that have cardinal red.
I'm always amazed that the dealers all seem to stock only black and gray cars. You would think that they don't come in colors.....
Thats what buyers buy, thats why they stock them. This is a beautiful color but it will take much longer to sell that and they will have to sell it at a bigger discount than a black, white, silver or grey one. Resale is also less.
Here's my experience.... We found a metallic red EQS Sedan with the off-white interior at a Dallas MB dealer a couple months ago. They were offering super lease deals on the EQS Sedans so we went for it. The dealer refused to make the deal on the RED one. He said they were in high demand even though he had that one in inventory for almost a year. We made the deal on an identical EQS except it was white. He had a bunch of those.....

A car salesperson lying? I can't imagine! He may have had a buyer for that red one he thought would pay more than you at that particular time, but no, a car on their lot for a year is not "in demand" lol

wow, the red one stayed for a year and they say it's high demand? maybe the red color is the high demand in the show room.
