I had the dealer install the E445 software update several months ago. My thinking was that the newer the better. I was so wrong. I warn you NOT to install this update. It’s given me nothing but trouble. The main issue has been the climate control system. I go through stages when I cannot adjust the temperature. Even though it may say 72 for example, only rather cold air comes out. I annoy change the setting because it goes right back to 72. It’s so frustrating. Then there are periods when it works before it goes back to the crapper.
I think I discovered a solution today. If I turn on the windshield defroster, warm/hot air blows out. I turn it back to off and the temperature setting then works. Very weird! With the E445 it does not show an option to set the system to auto preconditioning of the main battery as I go to charge the battery.

Thanks for the warning. Ours is scheduled for the update soon. It's tempting to leave well enough alone. A pet peeve of mine is software engineers continually 'enhancing' their product, which usually requires a learning curve and often makes things worse.

I think it offers less, if anything. I already mentioned that as opposed to the E330, the climate menu has less options. For example, it does not offer the screen which shows the option for auto preconditioning of the main battery.
