Help! Loss of EA free charging at one year mark

My husband and I have a 2023 EQS SUV 580. Purchased Dec 2022. I have been charging at EA occasionally this last year, and I was set up to drive up and plug in and charge for free. In January, I accidentally failed to renew my $150 Mercedes ME subscription. I renewed it in mid January and it seems to work alright. Shortly after renewing, I went to charge at EA and it did not work. When that did not work, I tried to charge on a pay basis using the credit card, EA indicated the card had been declined. Called my CC company, and they had no record of the decline. I was able to start a paid charge by using a different card.

Since then, I have been going round and round with the dealership (who tried, and sent me off to Mercedes ME (who tried multiple times, and sent me off to Charge Pont. Today, Chargepoint declared it was fixed and that I should use the Charge point apo on my phone . No go. Today's rounds were 6 hours on the phone. My dealer in Santa Rosa CA intimates that this is a growing problem. At one point I was told to delink my account, which I did. Help!!

We've been on the road a lot lately caring for aging parents. Something has happened to EA recently that has made charging sessions via the car screen or the Mercedes Me app not functional (speaking for myself, at least). The only way to get EA to work for me is to use their own app. I've twice gone over to an EA charger when I had spare time, called them, and gone through the procedure every which way. They declared themselves fine, and said it is Mercedes' fault. I phoned Mercedes, and they said all is fine and it is EA's fault. Needless to say, that is a battle I will not win. EA has stopped refunding charging sessions when the Mercedes Me app will not work. It is frustrating, but I've given up. It is not worth any more of my time to save maybe $60 per month. For all the talk EA gives about their updated stations and increased reliability, they seem to have gotten way worse lately. My closest station has had only 2 or 3 chargers working out of 6 the past few times I've gone there. Same on the road a couple weeks ago. Your experience may vary, but this is what I've seen.

Yesterday I charged at an EA location in NJ. One of 4 chargers was available when I arrived. Plug and Charge, the MB RFID card, dashboard station selection, and a credit card would not start as session. Just as I placed a call with EA two of the other stations freed up. Moved to another charger and Plug and Charged worked immediately. Hopefully, we can survive a few more months before the Tesla Superchargers are available.
