Is this normal for leather seats to stretch and remain that way? I have only sat in it for 6K miles. All the other seats are fine. Just the driver seat. My other cars have much more miles on them, but they done look like this. After several hours of getting out. After a few minutes of getting out.
I think it might be a defective piece of leather. My other car with nappa leather has over 100K miles, and it doesn't look like that either. I just realized the stretched seating today.
I have the exact same seat in my EQS. I thought it was defective but I wiped it with Turtle All in one leather cleaner and conditioner ($10 at Walmart). Left it overnight and it came all back.
Or you can pinch the circled area and that part comes back to normal immediately. (After you clean it with the leather cleaner).
I have about 15k miles now and the seat looks brand new. I just squeeze that real quick (takes like 1 second) before I get out of the car for the day.
I use turtlewax leather cleaner conditioner wipe the seat + steering wheel down once every two-three weeks and after 15k miles the seats still look brand new.
I also get that squeeze mark after I get out of the car if I drive more than an hour with massage on but the squeeze method immediately has the leather back to that condition.
When you get into the car, do you drop into the seat or do you place yourself into the seat?
After sitting in the seat, do you rotate your legs around effectively twisting the leather each time?
Do you carry a wallet in your rear pockets? This creates uneven denting in the seat.
How much do you weigh? At roughly 160 pounds I’ve never put wear on a seat in any car but have seen tons of the same models with warden seats.
And this is not your case, but for future wear, the dirtier the seat, the quicker the surface will wear.
Good leather does stretch. Fake leather and plastic and plastic coated leather do not do so to the same degree.
Answering Few Questions
When you get into the car, do you drop into the seat or do you place yourself into the seat?
-Both, depends I don't really pay attention.

Not Really
Do you carry a wallet in your rear pockets? This creates uneven denting in the seat.
No but my wife has a phone in her back pocket sometimes but it will dent for the day but it comes back the next day.

I weigh 187lbs 6ft 1. I think its just that the car that are sold by dealer are sat by the porter or the dealer right before the photos and the indentation is present on the picture but it goes away after a day or two. I'm sure if you squeeze that portion the leather comes back up. And this is not your case, but for future wear, the dirtier the seat, the quicker the surface will wear.
Yes. You need to take of any item you own. Good leather does stretch. Fake leather and plastic and plastic coated leather do not do so to the same degree.
True... MBTEX or Base leather seats are more durable than the Nappa but if you take care of it Nappa will never rip. I also noticed nappa heals its self from scratches, unlike MBTEX.
