Eqs450+ transmission problem
Eqs450+ transmission problem
Hi,
Bought 2022 eqs450+ with 10k miles on March 16,2024 from MBSugarlad. After few days it started displaying error messages about active brake assist disabled. On April 8,2024 it stopped with message 'service required do not change transmission position' in addition to message telling me 'parktonic disabled'. Took the car to MBSugarlad service center and it is still there. I am told that required part was ordered from mbusa the very next day. There is no ETA of the part and mbusa customer assistance center is not doing anything. What do you think is the solution. It seems Mercedes Benz is selling cars without keeping enough spare parts to fix their lousy products.

James the pre-owned vehicles manager (who sold me this car on March 16, 2025) called to see what he can do to help me. I told him to get the required part and that if the loaner they had given me was not so small compared to EQS then it would have been easier to bear the long wait for the parts. He told me to come after few hours and exchange the loaner car with an EQS. Half an hour or so after that Jeffery the ERM from mbusa called and said he understands that I have agreed with dealer to replace my car with an EQS. I told his it is not correct. MBSugarland has only offered to upgrade the loaner. He then said mbusa is trying to find part bla nla bla. The usual courtesy talk
Then half an hour after that James from MBSugarlad called again to tell me the EQS he was planning to give me as replacement loaner is being bought by some customers hence he couldn't do anything. No idea what Mercedes people are thinking with giving me a run around but by end of this week I am going to contact a local lemon car attorney and file a complaint with Texas DMV.
