Valet Feature

I dont think any OEM would design a car which can be remotely shut down like that. It presents an obvious safety risk, and also it is a huge risk in the context of someone hacking the API. Imagine if someone shut a car down while crossing a railroad track for instance. Now imagine it was a hacker who hacked into the app and used the valet mode to get you.

Do you also activate the Valet Mode in the car itself? On a separate issue, I also find that the MB me app does not always update the car's status. Sometimes, I go into the MB me app, and I see the status of the car charge and other data is several days to a week old. There does not seem to be a way to manual force a refresh. I tried going in and out of the app too.

I find that the app updates the status when you do something to trigger a synchronization. See below I initially checked my app and last sync was 1208 but it is now 129.
i then triggered a door lock and then look at the next screenshot. That car just synce with the app.

Thanks, Stealth Pilot. I thought swiping down refreshes, but initiate a sync with an action, and it refreshes everything. Good tip. As for the valet in the car, it actually limits the speed to 50 mph, turns on EPS, and a couple of other things. But it doesn't limit the radius travel like on the app. I wish the app does travel logging. Now, I have to put a Samsung Smart Tag to do that job.
