GM and Tesla Charging Stations
Just saw on State of Charge youtube channel that today they (GM) has access to Tesla's charging network with an adapter. I wish Mercedes would speed up their negotiations so we can also have access.

So do Ford and Rivian. But I do wonder if the Tesla charger would work on the Mercedes if you have a Tesla account and an adapter.

I did wonder if it is possible to use a personal adapter at a Magic Dock station, but there would be nothing to be gained by doing so.

Probably not. When selecting "Charge Your Other EV" from the menu in the Tesla app, you can only activate a charge at Magic Dock Superchargers or fee based Tesla Destination chargers.

no, you can't charge Mercedes nor other brand's EV if not been approved by Tesla yet with 3rd party adaptor. I have Rivian and Mercedes, using 3rd party adaptor to change Rivian in Tesla SC without any problem but same adaptor won't charge EQS. it just said connection fail.

I inns it interesting that Mercedes is bottom of the list. You would think they would prioritize the people who dont really compete with them, and deprioritize their closest competitors - Rivian, Ford, GM.

The 2025 Ioniq 5 XRT just came out with a NACS port. Hyundai wins!
I also like the extra ground clearance and all-terrain tires. So it's not just China, Korea is kicking our a$$ too. Might have to put a 100% tarrif on these, you know, for fair global trade and free-market competition and all that jazz.
