WHen do apps expire

I have all these features/services activated as part of our recent EQS purchase. Do they every expire...is there somewhere I can see if they expire? I've looked around in the MercedesMe app...I see the features activated...but can't see if there is an expiration date.

They expire after whatever term you subscribed to ends.....two years, or whatever. After that, they expire yearly. You will get a notice of pending expiration from MB on your MB app, and can then go to the MB store and renew for another 12 month term. It's roughly $150/year to keep all the basic functions activated. There are other things which are more.....AMG acceleration, Dashcam, etc.

The expiry dates are shown in the Mercedes me web app (pretty bad design/functionality) when you sign into your account.
- scroll down to Manage Vehicle
- click on Manage Digital Extras
- scroll to the bottom to see Subscribed Digital Extras and Canceled with effect from expiry date

Mine expire every December. I was pleasantly surprised this year that they offered a 10% discount this year for resubscribing.

The dashcam expires? When I paid the $200 to activate the dashcam, it showed it was a permanent purchase…I was assuming that meant no more future cost for the dashcam…did I get that wrong?

No. The dashcam is a one time purchase. I assumed they were talking about the numerous other services that expire after 1 year. Unfortunately they are bundled so that to get one, you have to subscribe to all. I think the price is $150/yr. I just renewed with a 10% discount. Last year there was no discount. Not sure if people aren’t renewing and Mercedes offered a little incentive this year, but some of the services I like to have so I’m stuck with the annual renewal. Wish they offered a lifetime subscription like I got with Sirius radio when it first came out. Have had Sirius over 10 years for a $350 fee. Sirius no longer offers lifetime subscription but I’m grandfathered in.

OK. Thank you. I really like having the dashcam. All the other digital features I think I can live without...we'll see. Looks like mine all expire Dec 7 2025. Quick question if you might know this answer - in my Wife's EV (Genesis) we really value the ability to start the A/C or heater before we get back to the car. I know I can do that now with the EQS....do you know if that is a subscribed digital extra or included as base function? If a subscribed digital feature...that alone will push me to subscribe. I also like the ability to lock/unlock remotely...that also might push me to subscribe. I like how Genesis does it - all remote features are included with the car purchase - no expiration. The only item Genesis makes you pay for is $25 annually for over the air updates....which is good value. Thanks again, Dave

Good questions. I’m not sure the remote starting of the hvac system is a digital extra. I’ve never used that particular function. I just looked over my digital extras and the ability to lock/unlock is a digital extra that you need to subscribe to for it to function. Most of the digital extras I could care less about but like you there is a couple of functions I really like so I end up subscribing. It really burns me to have to pay yearly for something that’s already available on the car, but that’s seems to be the norm nowadays.
