EQS sales.
I don't know about sales elswere, but Weston Fl is the kingdom of the EQS. They are everywhere. Tons of 350's and 450's. Makes sense since the RWD is perfect for here. 400 miles or so of range all year long is just the ticket. A ton of EQ SUVs too.

Mercedes has a lot less competition in the luxury sedan segment. They might as well quit trying to make electric SUVs though... except for maybe the EQG (or whatever confusing name they're calling it).

BTW the North Palm beach dealer just installed a new windshield for a crack from rock damage. They did a fantastic job. Glass looks identical to original. USAA could not locate the glass at any other local windshield place so approved the dealers price.

My dealership here in NorCal is supposedly the highest selling EQS dealership in the world. Had a chat with them last year. However, MB just released their 2024 sales numbers and overall EQS sedan and SUV sales dropped 52% year over year. Sales plummeted in general across the board, but the EQS got hit the hardest. MBUSA saw a 6% overall increase in sales, though, led by ICE and hybrid vehicles that made up for the massive drops in sales of the EQ models, so there is that. Not that others such as the BMW i7 are selling any better. My dealership is using what they are sitting on as loaners, hoping to entice potential buyers by letting them experience one. Not sure how many they are selling that way, though.

I don't know how much the high number of these cars is the cars selling well, vs the local dealers in Florida having large allocations and being among the most aggressive in discounting. Florida lease prices are insane. To the extent I leased my car in Florida and shipped it to GA. The Florida dealers are putting large numbers of EQ vehicles into their loaner fleets, then applying massive discounts once they hit 4000 miles, combined with current year subvented lease rates.

BTW whatever misgivings about the EQS anyone should have, the fact is the seem to be selling a lot better than ICE S models..... I hardly see any new S class cars around.

….Because MB jacked the base 6-cylinder S500 to start at $119100 and with relevant options rises to mid $130s and that’s still for the S500. BMW still offers their 6-cylinder around $100K, but for $119K, you can get a lot more equipment with the 7-series, looks aside. MB has quietly jacked all base prices come to think of it. And don’t tell me it’s because of the screens. Competition outscreens the S-class, which is starting to look dated inside by comparison. That said, I’m an MB fan, but the S-class refresh next year should have included an updated interior to stay ahead. I also love my EQS, exterior looks aside.

The belated ruling last Thursday came after the the Energy and Climate Intelligence Unit (ECIU) challenged claims made in an article by Political Editor Steven Swinford in September about a supposed “fall in demand” for electric vehicles. The claim was contradicted by market data showing EV sales are actually rising.
