EQS SUV ride height

I have a new-to-me 2023 EQS SUV 580 with the 5-spoke AMG 21" rims. I can't seem the get the suspension to adjust it's height. Keep in mind, I can only check this by myself with the car sitting still, but the suspension height never seems to change. I can put the car in offroad mode, and the display changes to +1 for the suspension height, but nothing actually moves. Should the suspension height change when switching back and forth between normal and offroad modes while sitting still? I have tried with the car in Drive and with the car in Park. No chance.

Also - I can fit the "tall" side of a 2 x 4 betweem the top of the back tire and the fender. Does that seem like the normal ride height?

Thanks...

I don’t think it changes if car is stationary. It may change while driving. I know very little about this. I do know that the 2025 EQS is improved on bumps with the active air suspension.

It does change while stationary. If you go to the off-road menu, it will show you live where the suspension heights are at all four corners.

It only moves up and down like an inch and verrrrry slowly. It moves up and down while in motion much quicker (but still not noticeably to the driver).

If you have a door open it may wait to make any height changes until it’s closed.

Thank you for this clarification. As I stated on my other thread which lots of views “no comprendo” on this topic. I know very little about it.

Thank you both for the posts. I'll have to go poke around a bit.
