Hi all,

I have a 2024 EQS 450 and wanted to confirm whether the vehicle includes a side mirror defrost function. When I activated the rear defrost, only the left side mirror appeared to clear condensation, while the right side remained unaffected.

Could anyone please advise if this behavior is expected or if there may be an issue with the right-side mirror heater? Thanks!

 

Clearly the heating element broken on the other side mirror. But did you have to switch rear window heating on? Mirror heating should be on if the temperature is low enough for frost or even water condensation (something like 10 to 15 degrees Celsius, cannot remember the exactly).

It should be relatively easy to detach the mirror glass to measure the heating resistor resistance.

 

Thanks for the reply! Yes, I did have to switch the rear window heating on. I'll take it to the dealership to have them take a look--should be under warranty
