Personally, I just can't understand why an EV driver would regret not hearing the sound of an ICE engine. It'd be like the driver of an early automobile (e.g., a Model T Ford) regretting not smelling horse s_h_i_t.
IMHO, the quietness of an EV is a feature, not a bug.
But I guess there are still people out there who use engine noise as a proxy for their ***** size :-)

I agree... I love the silence. I tried the EQS sounds, but prefer the silence. Tomorrow I'm putting on quieter tires.
Asking why someone likes the hum of an ice engine is like asking them why they like a certain genre of music.
Get real.
Your initial claim was the sound an ICE makes was a benefit rather than you preferred it's sound.

You can see the current mix here: California ISO.
Because you have some off the grid contraption that fully charges your EV all the time, and you never use commercial chargers, or public chargers.
I do prefer the sound of an internal combustion engine, if it is a finely tuned, well engineered piece of machinery.
It is a benefit to me.
Who else would I want to benefit?
Is there a way to report trolls? Or perhaps a way to block them? One forum system I have used will simply not show posts from people blocked by too many readers to anyone but themselves. They can troll all they want without bothering anyone else.
You can try, whether or not the administration of the forum will care is a different matter. On ClubLexus for instance they will block members from being able to access specific forums if all they do is troll in there (for instance people who just post in EV model forums to harass EV owners because they are anti-EV, or owners of one generation model who just post in the forum of the new generation talking about how much they hate it), but it doesn't seem like they do that here.

@ehildum When signed in go to Settings (cog wheel), scroll down to "Edit Ignore List", and add/remove as needed.
Let the haters come, let them talk, on and on. They'll run out of fuel soon enough. Beside, not everything haters say is bad or negative. There's good in those voices, too. It really doesn't matter of one has an EV or not. Let them come, challenge and learn.
If we can't get use to the EV silence or the motor's faint whine when the music is not playing or when we are really trying to listen for the whine, then we are still holding on to old school perceptions and believe. 30 years from now, sound is not even an issue for EV.
