2024 EQS 450 SUV – Multiple ADAS/Steering/Sensor Failures, On 3rd Case With MBUSA
Hi all,
I’m in New York and currently on my third case with MBUSA for a 2024 EQS 450 SUV due to ongoing ADAS , steering, and sensor failures. Several repair attempts have already been made, but the issues keep returning and new ones continue appearing.
Here is the consolidated list of technical problems:
ADAS / Steering Behavior
-Unintended aggressive steering correction during lane change
-Inconsistent lane-keeping assist; steering resistance during lane changes
Sensor Malfunctions
-Front-left proximity sensor triggering with no obstacle
-Reverse beeping with nothing behind the vehicle
-Park Assist activating by itself while driving
-Occasional false collision alerts
Camera / Vision System Issues
-Camera obstruction / visibility blocked messages
-Intermittent: “Content unavailable in current vehicle position”
-ADAS features glitching or temporarily disabling
Mechanical / Other
-Prior coolant leak
-Steering wheel replacement
-New deceleration squeak/whine after service
-Random software pop-ups and intermittent system resets
Status With MBUSA
-Multiple repair cycles (basically 4 rounds)
-Previous case denied; now on third active case
-Dealer often notes “cannot reproduce” due to intermittent nature
-Vehicle has been towed before for safety concerns
Questions
Has anyone else experienced unintended steering corrections or ADAS instability on EQS/EQE?
Any similar sensor or camera issues?
Has anyone in New York gotten a buyback or lemon-law resolution from Mercedes for ADAS problems?

I own a similar model. I believe I have experienced most of the ADAS / Steering Behavior, sensor malfunction, and camera/vision glitching issues under certain scenarios which I understand to be technology limitations and not necessarily issues. These things are not meant to behave perfectly in the real world,, unfortunately. What do you mean by park assist activating by itself while driving? Also, what safety concerns required towing the vehicle?
I also experienced and fixed a coolant leak very early, which never came back.
