"Honey I Shrunk the EQS"
I had a slot car set when I was 12 years old and now at age 70, I have a pretty nice track in my shop. Since owning the EQS and EQE I have realized "EVs are kinda like 1:1 scale slot cars, without the slot, the accelerator acts like a trigger on a slot car controller, you push it one way to accelerate and you back off to slow down.
That’s a great comparison. EVs really do feel like full-size slot cars: instant torque when you squeeze “the trigger,” and then as you lift, regen works like dialing the power back and letting the car settle. The quiet makes it even more like the track, just with tire noise instead of motor whine. Once you get used to one-pedal driving, it’s hard not to think in terms of controller finesse and smooth inputs.
