I just purchased a 23 450 4MATIC with 19k miles for my new daily. So far I’m loving the car. The looks are starting to grow on me as well. I have a question about the air suspension, as I feel like that would be the most expensive fix outside of warranty. I have 31k miles / 15 months left of the original warranty and am debating getting the extended warranty as I want to make an informed decision.
Everything I’ve read points to these cars being exceptionally reliable, but I know with air suspensions it’s a matter of when, not if, they fail. Has anyone with higher mileage on their car experienced any issues with this? Or any other eye-watering repairs that would necessitate an extended warranty?
I had an E500 that the air suspension failed (IIRC) with less than 50k miles. It was a few weeks out of warranty and very expensive.
IMO get the extended warranty if you plan on keeping the car beyond the original warranty.
