Garmin Map Pilot new SD card or Waze
Hey all,
I have a late 2016 E class (W213 i belive). Love the car, it is faultless but the Garmin Map pilot is cheap and not great. I looked at updating it but the advice is it is cheaper to buy a new SD card for 2019/2020 and just fit it into the SD slot on my car. I check with Mercedes who want to charge £149 for this but found many online at the likes of Amazon charging £30. Has anybody bought and fitted one of these and is it worth updating what is not the best of systems or shall I just use Waze on my phone. I would rather use the system in my car but it is rubbish. My wife has a Merc SLK reg in 2013 and this has the same system I believe, again would an update be worth it on this car and is it the same thing (appyling a new SD card)? Thanks in anticipation.
