Anyone planning on going to this? RennSouth Auto Festival - July 9th
There were dozens of cars entered in the show...everything from 1966 Triumph to a 2005 Lambo Murcielago Roadster with 600 miles on it. Several Mercedes-Benz showed up to check out the event, but I was the sole MB registered in the show.
I saw a few MBWorlders there and met hellcat for the first time as well (thanks for making the effort to get there). There were four lamborghinis (including a 1967 Muira) and four or five Maseratis (there was a stunning 1972 Ghibli) plus numerous Porsches, a Jag E-Tye that captured the Vintage Class and several race cars and other British makes (several Lotus Elises and a gorgeous Espirit). The sole BMW in attendance was a nicely detailed Z8. Plus, over a half dozen Ferraris.
There were multiple sponsors, food vendor and some really nice trophies. The Best of Show went to an immaculate 1972 911S. He also took home $1,000 for winning! I brought my camera, but unfortunately, did not take a single picture as judging responsibilities consumed the entire day. The organizer has plans to do this event annually, so be on the lookout for it next year
