wouldn't 5-7 be a better time for the photoshoot since the sun light is just right. Not to bright and not to dark. Especially since it's at the top of the parking Structure. Not to long ago I had a photoshoot of my car at a structure in Anaheim around 6-7 and the lighting was perfect. Here are pictures that I took...looks pretty good.

Anyways, I could bring my equipment to this photoshoot. I'll take some pictures and someone could give me ideas on different shot angles..etc etc. Then again, I would love to take some rolling shots as well if anyone is interested.

Chris

The 5-7 time should be ok too. There is no time limit on this photoshoot anyway. So we can stay around that time and just talk about well what else more benz stuff.

not sure I can make it for the 17th...

kinda bummed... Leaving for Argentina just after that, so gotta spend some time with the family and take care of things before i go. Every trip like this, requires some special planning and precautionary checklist stuff.

wish I could hang out with the homies and take pics !
Someone drive my car and get it in the shots.... he's such an attention ***** !

Always be keen on the light available, and different refraction angles.
Look for clean backgrounds with not too much clutter, and use the diagonal and low-ground stances for eye-catching shots.
Try to only get one car per shot, unless of course doing the group shots.
Use right angles (buildings, lines, parking structure) to level your bottom horizon.
Rolling shots - try it both ways: with blurry background/focused car
and focused background (solid) and blurry car (speeding by). Set your speed appertures appropriately.

and oh yeah, trying taking a whole group photo shot with each owner, next to their car with driver's door open. Try to get it from a level above or a high-point. Use a tripod and a timer.

Oh I'm so wanting to do that. Anyone else on board for doing some rolling shots, we need at least 3 people to do them, or maybe even some burnout :p shots?

Quote: Correct, SEMA is Nov. 1-4 (Friday) so how about a GTG on Nov. 5 (Saturday)? We have the Las Vegas Motor Speedway if anyone wants do some 1/4 runs, cruise around the outlying scenic areas of Las Vegas (Red Rock Canyon) and then cruise down the Las Vegas strip.
Don't want to HiJack this thread but, I know about 10 Benz owners in the Metro Phoenix Area that would be interested in coming to Vegas for this. Please give me some more details, I think I'll start a new thread as well.

you're right 5-7 does sound betta, cuz it was tough taking shots when I did mine at around 2pm, I had to adjust the angle of the shots to prevent from the sun's reflection.....or we can just meet and shoot the **** til it sets?

yeah, bring your equipment, I'm planning to bring my big-**** Canon too, I guess everyone should just bring their camera if they have one so that you can have your own copy of the pics....

Of course you didnt, I think James was referring to keeping the thread all about the meet and not about Las Vegas or other things. This should be a nice clean mini-meet with some nice rides. I hope I have my LSD on by then.

I think it is a Wald front on that car from last time I saw it and talked to him about it. I could be wrong!
