I just wanted to say thanks to 04E55 AMG and blackbenzz for organizing the event. I had a great time meeting the other members and generally happy with the results. Spero, I own you a couple of dollars. The next event, I’ll catch up with you.

It was great meeting all of you! I want to thank everyone for showing up and I hope you all had a great time.

We had some fast cars as many were running in the 11's with trap speeds over 120mph.

Just curious if everyone would like to do this again and when. We can wait until the Spring or get one more track day before years end.

Thanks to Spero and Ahmad as well. I had a great time. As for doing this again, my vote would be to do it in the spring, to give me a chance to get some mods done.

my vote is we definately do it again before the years out, preferably on a nice cold winter day. Thanks again for setting this up, I had a blast

The Z06 had a hard time getting out of the hole. I'm not sure what his best time was (I think he did sneak into the 11's). The CL600 ran an 11.79 and, I think the SL65 went 11.80's. We had a few E's the went into the 11's (mine, Spero and Andy). It was a great time, should have been there. Any of you guys that think you might want to get out to the track, you should. It's a blast.

I thought the 65 ran 11.7's. The Z06 looked like it was REALLY hard to drive. I dont think I'm going to track my car next time. Its more fun watching you guys tear up the track! I'm always down for a meet or track day. I am going to contact Summit Point to see if we can rent out the track for a day. I would love to see how my car fares on a track. Like I said before, if anyone wants to be notified when we have our regular meets (just hang out and sometimes do a cruise to other meets or shows) then let me know.

Hey Ahmad, sorry I couldn't make it yesterday. Summit Point: Now your'e talking!! As much fun as doing the 1/4 is a road course is not to be believed. Got the bug doing two day AMG challenge at Lime Rock. Followed that up with a 1 day Racing school at Skip Barber alos at Lime Rock. It's addicting. Unfortunately someone once told me that to rent out Lime Rock (2 day mandatory) is $100,000

I think the Z06's best time was 11.87. My stock 2002 CLK55 had a best time of 13.215. There was a C32 Kompressor that impressed with times in the mid 12s. The GMC Syclone got a couple of 10.2 runs! There was a 2003 M3 that had a best time of 13.4.

I didn't see the Z06 break 12 before I left. It has the power to but seems very hard to get the perfect launch. My best was 11.7 and I am thinking about the renntech ecu/tcu although for the same 6500.00 it gives the 600 over 125hp and tons more torque but only gives the 65 like 75hp and 65ftpnds of torque. I don't know it is worth it.

Time slip

Here is the time slip for my best time - turns out my first run... my CL600 has stock 18" that are not staggered. I think I need to look at some better wheels and tires and may consider the Renntech airbox for the 600. I am pleased with the trap speed of 122 mph
