GA/AL Road Course Day - Sunday April 2nd

We've always had great support from MBWorld for our drag days. Well we've always wanted to run a road course too, and decided to ad it as an event this year. As always, we'd love to have you out to this!

Import Showdown is doing road racing! The new Import Showdown Track Day brings all of the character of our Import Showdown drag events to Talladega Gran Prix in Talladega, AL! If you have been looking for a chance to do road racing or just want a great value to do it, this event won't be beat - our event offers lots of track time at half the price of most road course events, including many at this very track. Act fast as slots will go very quickly!

Talladega Gran Prix is a 1.33 mile road course just 2 hours west of Atlanta (and similar distance from Macon). The course is technically challenging and will offer a complete day of fun racing or watching!

When: Sunday April 2nd, 2006
Where: Talladega Gran Prix in Talladega, AL (directions available on website)
What: Road Course Racing at a 1.33 mile course
Who: Any Import or Domestic vehicle is welcome. Sorry, no motorcycles or karts.
Cost: $125 for racers, Spectators are welcome and encouraged.

This event does require pre-registration. Registration opens Feburary 1st!

For more information on attending, as a spectator or as a racer, please visit the Import Showdown Track Day website at www.istrackday.com

As with all Import Showdown events, this event is NOT for profit and put on by volunteer members of GA DSM.

Thanks for the invite!

How many cars max are you accepting? How much track time should we expect?

We are going to limit to 30-35 max. You will get at least 80 minutes of on track time.

We did get double booked by the track so we were forced to switch to Saturday April 15th. For some reason I can't edit my original post to update the dates there.

Really appreciate the invite - thanks.

Saturday April 15th.

I'm interested. I'll check out the track website.

Is that where we'll register to attend as well, Paul?
