Just got off the phone with Capitol, everything is as planned. They have 5 loaner helmets for those of you who need one and dont own one. Looks like the track day will be more diverse than usual. The M3 and S4 have backed out though. Will have my trophy on display from Bmore car show j/k

I am stuck until about 2:30 which puts me out there at about 3:00 or so. I don't have anyones number. Is this too late? I don't want to get out there and have to turn around and drive home in rush hour. Anyone still around?

I just got home. I dont think Im gonna do anymore track days. I ended up payin $300 out of pocket cuz only 9 people showed up with 10 cars. Track rental for 9-15 cars is $1300. Oh well, it was fun. Congrats to Derrick and Jason for record times. Hope you didnt go to the track juiceit. I had fun on the drive up with a ferrari 360. I hit 160 and my a pillar popped off so I had to slow down!

thanks ahmad for setting everything up and helping me out with the car and encouraging me to run a few more times even after hitting 12.4.

i don't mind paying my share of the cost. i'm assuming it's $30 if we do $300/10cars. let me know.

Thanks for offering Jason but I said it would be $100/car and I am a man of my word.

Ahmad, I feel terrible that you got stuck with that! You should have said something and we could have helped with the extra money. I don't think any of us would have had a problem covering the extra money. Sorry you had to eat that.

Hey Bro,

Sorry I missed your run yesterday and seeing everyone! I was driving my new $100K mixer around DC (SW,SE,NW,NE) all day

My plan was to show up with my 17K pound car and race you for pink slips

Ahmad, sorry about you having to fork up the extra $$$, next time make sure you divide the number of drivers my the total that way you never get stiffed. As Derrick said, no one would have blinked to have paid a extra $30-$50.

Did you get your run on video? Did you have a different set up? Your 60' was 1.61 which is AWESOME without DR's.

Hope the move and the family is doing well. Look forward to running some 10's with my new Z in the fall. Many owners are hitting low 11.0X with just DR's. With a simple header and ECU tweak, 10's should happen with ease.

How did Wayne do yesterday?

Will try calling you later this week.

Yea, next time Ill just split the money at the end of the day. Wayne couldnt make it to the track cuz his car was being prepped for the standing mile. 2 of his friends with regular C6 vettes came out (exhaust, intake and headers) and their best time was a 11.9 A local guy named Ranger runs low 11's in stock setup (11.2 from what I hear) in his C6 Z06. Derricks car looks like a rocket shooting out of the hole!

Would anyone want to do MIR next time or was everyone happy with Capitol. I was told that "there are other ways" that I could pay off the money I owed by the girl. Very awkward situation to say the least. WOuld anyone want to do this again at the end of April?

Hey guys

I wanted to jump on here and thank Ahmad for setting up a great day yesterday.

I was the asain guy with the orange C6. I beat the living crap out of it yesterday but worked my way down to a 11.9@118mph run with a 1.75 60ft. I was very happy with my runs and it was great meeting you guys!

Ill check back around and hopefully when you have your next track day and I have more mods, i can run my car and see what I can do!

Thanks again!

Ahmad, I would do it again in April and I'm sure my buddies would be there. MIR is a hike for us though. What about Mason Dixon? It's farther norht and maybe some of the NJ/PA/DE guys would come down? Or even Cecil County? Spero, the only thing new with the car is thermal wrapping. Other than that it's the same. It's wasn't as cold as the last time we went so my street tires hooked well. I wish I had a video of the 11.38 but at least I have the 11.39 pass. Now if I can just figure out how to post it?

Derrick, the 11.38 was your first pass right? I recorded that on your camcorder bro!
Jimspeed- thanks for comin out, you car was lookin and sounding SICKKKK!
By the way fellas- MIR is cheaper: http://www.mirdrag.com/v2/rentals/ and more track time 9am-5pm (not that we need that much time anyway)
And I heard Mason Dixon is not a very well prepped track. I guess we'll just do capitol again. ALot of people didnt make it to this one but Im glad those of you who did had fun!

I think you might have grabbed someone elses camera. I don't have that one on my camera. I guess that's good because someone should have it. Thanks dude!

I am sorry I got held up yesterday as well. I didn't realize that it was bare min people to cover the day. At the very least I will kick in so you have a free day for the next track day.

Hey guys. I was at the track rental in the yellow C6 on Friday. Just wanted to say thanks to Ahmad for setting it up. Sorry you got stuck with the bill. I'd be happy to chip in to cover the shortfall.

It's always tough setting up track days because you never know how many people will actually show up.

Ahmed, thanks for putting it on. Sorry I couldn't make it out to Rockville, I'll call you later in the week to see about this weekend.

Thats hilarious about the girl saying "there are other ways" to pay off the money, btw.

I will look at the calendar tomorrow and see when a good date would be in April. I have received lots of e-mails expressing interest in a track day. My friend will be bringing his E36 328i w/ a little boost. 635whp!
