Bros, I have a dream of leading a procession of nice Mercedes-Benz cars right into the next BMW-SG monthly meetup at Kallang and then parking our three-pointer-stars in the row of car park spaces right next to them. Can you all help me to fulfil this dream?

Yo EvoW124

Yeah, I know. It's always on the last Sunday of the month. This gives us plenty of time to plan for the convoy. We must decide when and where to redeavous first and then convoy together to gate-crash their meetup. Muhahaha (evil laugh). I don't mind whether I lead or someone else lead the convoy.

The BMW-SG meetup always starts at 4.30 pm on the Sunday. I would suggest that we meetup in front of the PML showroom at Kampung Arang at latest 5.15 pm, then drive off and turn up in convoy at Kallang Mac at say, 5.30 pm when the BMW crowd numbers are at the peak.

Can you imagine the look on their face when our Mercs convoy into the carpark? As far as I know, there has never been a Mercedes-Benz convoy that has gatecrash a BMW meetup in Singapore before. So, how? Are we on or not?

Mark,

Indeed, these guys are pretty professional in ecu remapping...Kleemann ? They are top notch IMO,like their after sales support, Kleemann RULES !

$3.3k, very reasonable. MBM wheelpower have the complete line up for Kleemann in their workshop, I love their mechanics, well verse in their job, they have a passion for cars. !

Hmm, it's time to mod your slk la..Let me know when, perhaps we can meet up with the rest and have a decent dinner somewhere...it has been quite sometime though since we last met.

Good to hear mbm wheelpower is in the game with Kleemann. One thing that kept me back was that Benzline does not own their own garage.

BTW guys, what RON do you use for your M271 engine? RON98 or RON95?

U hinting me that the last time u guys met at my house not having a decent meal ah! DUH!
Actuali the next mod for me is sway bars & suspension. Coz i think the stock engine is actuali quite powerful liao. Also frankly i got abit phobia to the engine bcoz of its supercharger! Its farked up... Still NA is better. Hur...

Me probably going for DMS, price quoted for 670 Sterling. I totally agree with you, the kompressor does **** me off, it is damm noisy. The M272 engine is a monster, NA plus it roars when you hit your gas pedal....

It is high time that Mecedes should revisit and phase out the supercharger and kick in the turbo instead..

So for about $2k. Whats the gain like??? Theres good and bad for DMS, i think! Good is they are reputable and proven realiable for the remapping. Bad is that what if something c*cks up?? U have to wait for the fellow to come down. Not able to drive for the time being. Also have to pay for their expenses or not, i not sure liao...
Frankly, the M271 is really quiet. Trust me. It is. U have not hear the previous engine. Its worst then what u have heard of. What pisses me off abt the supercharger is the far*ing lag! Want to overtake, slammed on the trottle, turn my steering wheel, hear the engine noise, no go! WTF!!! Thats y i dun think i going to mod on the engine think it will be worst with the higher boost! Rather change sway bars and suspension. Better handling and also on corners can go faster than modding the engine only, CFM! Hur...
Cheers dude

Hi

I agree with Mark. I recently changed my antiroll bar (aka sway bar) to thicker Eibach ones and the handling of my car has improved with less body roll, especially around corners.

In my view, upgrading the suspension and antiroll bars is better value for money for us in Singapore. Although one can always do with more horse power for drives in Malaysia, we don't really have much chance to use our full engine power in Singapore.

KW, Eibach and Bilstein do have suspension and antiroll bars upgrade parts for our Mercs.

Hi Guys,

I just lowered my car with Kleemann coil springs. The drop at the back is very aggressive ie no figure space left and the front still have two figures space. I am probably going to change the pad in the front to make it one figure space. The ride with the Kleemann coil springs is not too bad. originally I wanted to lower my car with Eibach springs but it took like two months and the springs still haven't arrive yet.

Also I've installed K-Box, pulley, K&N filter and Carlsson trunk spoiler. I'm pretty much done with my mod. The next mod is probably to change the front brake to AMG brake and maybe the quad exhaust.

Hi everyone,

Really interesting to see all mercedes fanatics here. Have been trying to customize as much as I can to my car over the years.

Brief intro to what I have done thus far:

Fab Design - Full body kit and 18' Rims
Lower Spring
Gear Knob (Have changed 4 thus far, latest is a Black Benz logo Shift)
Steering Wheel (F1 Steering Wheel just changed yesterday)
Spring Booster
Kleeman Pulley
Bi-Xenon Headlamp with 8000k lights (Have tried 12000k but too bright with purplish color)
Foglamp with HID 8000k
License Plate Light Change: Purple (Almost impossible locally to find with 12v,5w that is not yellow)
Interior Dash Wood trimming re-mod using Cubic Printing to strips black with white lining
Audio with 7' Alphine(DVD) Screen intergrated with Ipod
TV Mobile to watch Channel 5, 8 Channel News Asia
Carlsson Spoiler done but removed as didnt fancy the look.

Most of the jobs done are cosmetic as I am a real noob about the engine upgrades and stuff. Therefore find this thread very localise and useful.

Have visited a lot of garage and hope to share info with fellow MB enthusiast.

Future Upgrade of desire: Have seen the Mercedes Door panel lighting and it seems real tempting. Wonder if theres still available. Also the ECU upgrade, and wonder if theres any sport seats too.

Best regards to everyone

Hi, is your car white? I saw a white one with Fab design bodykit and rims at MBM Wheelpower the other day while I was there. Can you tell us where you get the purple License Plate Light. Have been trying to look for it and like you said, it almost impossible locally to find with 12v,5w that is not yellow.

Yes my car is white and that would most probably be me as I dont see that many Fab at MBM...haha

The bulb I got it at Ebay. After buying some that fail to function, I finally found 1 that can. The seller is by the name of "Maxcar1". Do a search for "Stylish 12v 5w" and you will see his listing. Get the one that is labelled "Stylish 12V 5w PURPLE Interior Festoon Bulbs 239(pair) " and you won't go wrong.

Don't bother buying the blue as I have tried and it turned out green anyway. The purple is the closest to avoid it being yellow. But theres still a slight tint of green as well that is not that big a deal. Rather other colors than yellow~

Hope it helps.

Got it from Ebay as replied to CBlack. Also theres a tip if you want to change the color to avoid it yellow. Theres a fella who use a blue marker and literally colored on my previous yellow bulb and it sort of worked too. But it came out like a weird color close to green.

Not sure if you want to try that.....
